Guys,

I don't know about this auto build/auto check/auto
judging system.

I mean it does sound great for somebody who is browsing
through the web site and want to get a quick look at
some IP core. But in reality I doubt that can be really
made to work properly. Just to many issues to do this
right. You need linters for both languages. You assume
that all users have a linter. They can be quite expensive.
You need synthesis tools. How are you going to make sure
the test bench is any good ? Toggle coverage ? Gee, good
luck. Who is going to maintain it all ? This is a lot of
work, and I know I don't have the time to provide that
much of free support for all my cores.

And then all the great ideas about documentation. I don't
have the time to learn XML. I just finally switched to the
free OfficeTools that came with Linux, learned how to use
them, how to make simple drawings and somewhat decent
looking docs. And now XMl too ? Sorry can't do that !

Don't get me wrong it all does sound great and probably
would be really really cool to have, but who's going to
do it all ? Remember we are talking about free IP cores
that have been donated. If that the amount of work I have
to put in to donate an IP core, I'll think twice before
doing that.

Best Regards,
