[pci] What does "Image" mean?

I just joined this mailing list.

I got a question while I was reading documents about PCI core.
Could any body please tell me what the "Image" means in detail ?

I checked the achives of mailing list.
And I found the "Image" is some kind of address mapping.
But I still don't know exactly waht it means.
