I'm trying to bring up the insight spartan board with the demo & test
apps and have run into a little problem.  I've done the "insmod" command
under red hat to install the driver module, and that seems to be
registered ok.  If I then run the ramtest it fails on opening
/dev/spartan.  OK, makes sense, there is no /dev/spartan.  "touch
/dev/spartan" clearly won't work, but I tried it anyway.  It seems to me
that there is a "mknod /dev/spartan c ..." command missing, but I can't
find it described anywhere. 

Can anybody fill in the blanks?
