Hi Nanda,

The MX614 modem transmits and receives at 1200baud.  I would like to use a software
encoder (viterbi/r.s) on the atmel chip if it fits.  The chip can hold about 1000
lines of average c code and I at least half of that for the rest of the
functionality.  On the ground a software decoder on a PC hooked up to a transceiver
through the sound card would receive and transmit signals.  For the uplink to the
rocket and balloon platform there is no encoding/decoding since the transmission
power is higher.  There is only 300mW downlink from the rocket and balloon.
