RE: [oc] GNU Free Documentation License

I have to say that I think the HDL code is exactly as executable as Java.

Just wanted to point out a draft of the new GNU Free Documentation License
at:

http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html

There's an article on /. today as well. Might come in handy...

Since an HDL design isn't "executeable" like a software design, I wonder if
a block of HDL code could be better considered as a design "specification",
and thus treatable under the GFDL. Software (such as a compiler, etc) that
was created to run on the design or compile software to run on it could fall
under the standard GPL.
