Hi,

You are probably overloaded with email after the article
in EE Times, but here is another idea for a core.

I suggest a Forth CPU core (or family of cores).

The following is a link to the MSL16 processor which is an
unfinished VHDL core for a Forth CPU in a Xilinx FPGA.
You might want to contact the author and see if he is
interested in your group.

P.S. I can send you more links about Forth in case you aren't
familiar with it.  There is an ANSI standard and an IEEE
Open Firmware standard for Forth.
