Or maybe just plain "-Z", not "-c". "-c" is for toggling 32-bit mode support.
"-C" (capitalized) checks the power mode status. Sadly, the many parameters of
"hdparm" aren't all that well organized.
'man hdparm' says:
-Z Disable the automatic power-saving function of cer
tain Seagate drives (ST3xxx models?), to prevent
them from idling/spinning-down at inconvenient
times.
