You agree with you: to put a single (maybe, big) file with loopfilesystem
in it on a Windows machine cannot be considered an installation,
but simply *hard-disk's usage*.

No, it's not stupid (perhaps, you show a not trivial knowledge about
Linux). Sometimes the -f works, if kernel are not so much different.
