Hi,
That doesn't work for me - I can't be bothered getting it to work,
and setuid wvdial works fine for me. Hell, it's still safer than windoze
with sharing enabled by default. I'm not running any servers on my
machine so it should be safe enough (well I've talked myself into
believing it is - so it must be:-))

Here is my settings: > ls -l /usr/sbin/pppd /dev/ttyS3 > -r-sr-x--- 1 root pppusers 113428 May 14 14:55 /usr/sbin/pppd > crw-rw---- 1 pppusers pppusers 4, 67 Jun 16 11:42 /dev/ttyS3 > > I think setuid is a little safer than just dialing up as root. > --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: mulinux-unsubscribe@sunsite.dk For additional commands, e-mail: mulinux-help@sunsite.dk
