You can use a null-modem cable to conect your computer's serial, and use a terminal program to access your NO-SCREEN computer. I did that last year, but using two modens and a PABX (there is this word in english? It's a private fone central). I saved that /etc files somewhere in my hard-disk, but I think you can manage that. It's really easy...
