In the past I installed X on 386 with 4 mega: 1 new window per minute!
On my old 486 with 8 Mega, X it's usable, but very very low.
In my opinion, X run sactisfatory only with 16 mega.
Anycase, X never is Ben Johnson: it's a different thing compared to
MS-Windows; a server, with network functionality.
