esos-2.0 is an updated version of esos-1.0, however, there have been
SIGNIFICANT changes including changes in the fundemental API, so it is
NOT a drop-in replacement for esos-1.0.  However, the API changes
should be very minimal, easily detectable, and easily fixed.

There are many more useful things in here.  This was requested by a
customer so we made it publicly available.
