Integrated Systems Division SGML PROFESSIONALS At Computer Sciences Corporation, we're helping the Armed Services convert from a cumbersome, paper-based system to a totally digital environment. After designing and prototyping the world's most advanced systems for managing technical information, CSC is now developing the Joint Computer-Aided Acquisition and Logistics Support System (JCALS). Senior SGML Application Engineers Participate in the design/development of the JCALS authoring/publishing/document management environment. At least 5 years' experience is required, including SGML design/development; implementation of ISO 8879 or MIL-M-28001 compliant applications; SGML parsers/products; DTD development for database publishing; UNIX; X-Windows; and Motif. FOSI Developers/Composition Specialists Design/develop CALS-compliant FOSI's for DoD publications across multiple composition engines and displays. Qualifications include 1-6 years' experience in: Desktop and batch electronic publishing; implementation of an SGML-based composition application; typesetting; and expert knowledge of Datalogics, Interleaf and/or Xyvision. DTD Developers/Text Conversion Specialists Perform document analysis, DTD development and develop autotagging applications to migrate legacy data to JCALS. Candidates must have 1-6 years' experience including: all aspects of DTD development; legacy data conversion; development of SGML filters; script development (Shell, Bourne); and commercial SGML software applications and parsers (Avalanche, Omnimark). SGML Product Integrator Integrate and customize commercial software products into the JCALS system. You must have 1-6 years' experience including: demonstrated integration on a small project; solid programming and scripting skills (Shell, Bourne) in UNIX environment; and familiarity with commercial products (Arbortext, Datalogics, Avalanche). A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required for all positions.
