SNMP Traps
Receiver Side
To Set a Client Listening to SNMP Traps:
Step 1: Right-click on
the lower half of the configuration screen, the receiver entry
field, to display the add recipient prompt.
Step 2: An Add receiver prompt displays. Simply enter the IP
addresses of SNMP agents for trap notification.
Step 3: Select the severity level of events to be sent to the
SNMP agent.
Step 4: Repeat this process
to add more SNMP agents.
Sender Side
From the Module Config window:
Step 1: Find the SNMP settings from the pull-down list
Step 2: Click on the On/Off switch besides the pull-down button to enable SNMP Traps notification.

Step 3: Set Status to Enable if you want the module to be activated every time the Configuration Client is started. Note that the On/Off switch should also be in the ON position before you turned off the server or closed the utility. Otherwise, you will have to manually enable the function.
Step 4: Select the severity level of events to be sent to the receiver station.
Step 5: Provide a valid
out port IP that will be used for delivering SNMP traps. Usually
the default IP detected by the Root Agent will be sufficient. If you have more
than one Ethernet port, double-click to configure it.
