Hello,

I ran the tcpsnoop on two machines, and, similarly as in Pfeiffer's example, the contention window does not get larger than 2, as time progresses.

Any ideas why?

Thanks, Y.

Could you describe what the network setup is like? Are the machines connected directly (i.e. in the same LAN)? Is there a WAN link between them?

If your latency is very low and the bandwith very high you won't see much, because the machines quickly empty their packet queues (or even don't build queues).

Best, René.
