Basic Usage

This chapter tells you how to use Eye of Gnome as a basic image viewer. It describes how to run the program and view images, the main menu options, and the full screen viewing mode.

Running Eye of Gnome

To run Eye of Gnome, select Graphics->Eye of Gnome from the Main Menu, or type eog on the command line.

You can specify an arbitrary number of image file names in the command line as well, for example eog foo.jpg bar.png. Eye of Gnome will open each image in a separate window.
