Auflösung/Wiederholfrequenz der Konsole aus der Konsole ändern?

Moin moin @ll,

ist es und wenn ja wie möglich aus der Konsole(vom easyVDR z.B.) für diese
Auflösung und Wiederholfrequenz zu ändern?

Warum - 640x480 oder 800x600 auf 19" sind nur nach Wanderschaft und Dank Funktastatur erträglich und 60Hz sind auch nicht am CRT erbaulich ;-]

dazu musst Du den Framebuffer-Auflösung ändern

hatte bevor ich zu easyvdr gewechselt bin linvdr drauf
und ne´olle matrox-karte

da ging das mit "fbset"

am besten vieleicht mal den "linvdr großmeister" Dr. Seltsam fragen,
der treibt sich doch mittlerweile auch hier rum

so --- bin noch mal in mich gegangen

so gehts glaub ich

- im grub-menu  VESA-Framebuffer deaktivieren
- dann ein modrobe mit dem passenden framebuffer-treiber
  ( z.B. matroxfb,nvidiafb wie er bei ati etc. heißt weiss ich nich )
- wenn der der fb-treiber korrekt geladen wird kann man ihn ja fest reinschreiben...
- nun in /etc/fb.modes nachschaun welche syntax gebraucht wird
- dann z.B. fbset -fb /dev/fb0 1024x768-75  eintippen

naja so ungefähr jedenfalls

und weiter gegraben

wenn man den (nvidia) framebuffer  mit in den Kernel
einkompiliert ist es sogar möglich ihn in grub zu aktivieren
( dann hat man dann auch, wenns denn das irgentwann mal gibt
    auch wieder nen´ bootscreen ohne VESA-FB sonst nicht )

hatte ich schon gefunden
(bevor ichs in /boot/grub/menu.lst rausgeschmissen hatte )

ich wunderte mich nur über diese seltsame anreihung
von  /dev/.static/dev/.......

na ja werd mal weiter versuchen den nvidiafb in gang zu bekommen
