This one can cheap be found on the auctions sites. (www.marktplaats.nl or ebay)
Customized the flash software and now it can be used as VDR client.
At the moment I'm working on Javascript client, basic functions work.

Found a home for the javascript client at http://projects.vdr-developer.org/projec...-vipclient

The author of "VDR on SmartTV" plugin made some changes so that plugin works great for streaming recordings.
At the moment restfulapi plugin is used for reading timers and deleting recordings but in the future the server part of "VDR on SmartTV" should do it all.

ich benötige die letzte Version für einen Vip 1710
die auch läuft.
Kannst Du die mal im Anhang zur verfügung stellen.
Habe immer noch die 1. Version von Martin hier am laufen,
alle anderen nachfolgende Versionen von Dir habe ich nicht zum laufen gebracht..
Habe EasyVDR 08.06 und EasVDR 1.04.0 Server am rennen..

this software is (mainly) for the 19xx serie of the VIP. The last version for the 1710 is in : http://www.easy-vdr.de/forum/index.php?topic=14225.0

Most common problem : USB not formatted as ext2!!

Wie und wo kann ich die Server IP in der VIP Box 1910-9DB ( die kleine Box )
die ich von Dir gekauft habe ändern.
Zur Zeit habe ich einen anderen EasyVDR Server mit EasyVDR 1.04.0 System am laufen
Mit welchen Programm am besten editieren. was nimmst Du da für.

I don't know where to edit it, that's why I made the custom software for every one who got a box. If you mail the ip I can make the new version for you.

With the Infocast server you can send the new address but you must have the Infocast server running every time you boot the box.

Only the IP is needed, after boot the box looks for a web page. And the address of that page is hard coded into the software you flash on the box.

Easier for me is if you mail / attach the m3u you get from streamdev. With some work I can create a channels.js out of that.

For testing you can use :

toish LoadUri [HOSTIP]/portal/index.html text/html whitelist

Then the box should load the portal page.

Hi Martin,

hatte leider bis jetzt keine Zeit für die 1960. Nun hab ich es doch mal versucht.
Die Box hängt gerade per SCART an nem kleinen TV. Beim ersten Booten hatte ich ein Menu aus Deiner Software was ich mit der KPN Fernbedienung steuern konnte. Nur war alles viel zu groß weil der Default von 1080 noch eingestellt war. Die Angaben zu dem VDR-Server in settings.js waren zu dem Zeitpunkt noch falsch und ich hatte auf dem Server dort auch kein vdr-smarttv oder restfulapi laufen. Aber trotzdem schonmal OSD.... Klasse.

Aktueller Stand ist dass seit einem Reboot wo ich ansonsten nichts geändert habe Kein Videosignal mehr aus dem Scartausgang kommt...
Die Anzeigen sind: Grün leuchtet, Rot Blinkt. Als Zahl wird mein Defaultkanal angezeigt (von 10 auf 11 geändert)
Umschalten mit der Fernbedienung bewirkt keine Änderung der Nummer am Gerät.
Portal Version ist 0.21.

Brauche ich das vdr-smartTV Plugin wirklich ? (Das Teil kann viel, ist aber auch extrem offen nach außen...)

For only liveTV you can do without vdr-smartTV & restfulapi Plugin. Only streamdev is needed.
If the server addresses are right it should work for live TV right out of the box.

What do you use as server ip? The git version (0.22) has a menu option to select a preset server IP, I can add yours to the list.

Resolution settings:
The Motorola can be set to 1080i, then the default settings work.
Old box must be set from the menu. (Press Menu when first star is blinking during boot)
The newer firmware doesn't have that option in the menu. -> telnet into the box, cd into /flash
edit settings2.xml all the lines 'mode' must be VIDEO_MODE_1080I50.


For debugging you can use the logclient program from Motorola. It tells you what is wrong.

Small change to the script, git version has dynamic resolution change in it.
Menu -> green to change.
